i have like most people seen this 2 or 3 times and it is very good, and know doubt i will watch it again, but can speilburg, tom hanks or hollywood in general make somthing simeler about us the british and the fact that the usa didnt win the war single handed we stood more or less on our own for nearly 3 years before the yanks got into the fray unless you count a handfull of ships that we paid for in the long run, im not saying we didnt need the yanks im just tired of the fact thay portray ww2 as them doing it on there own so come on holywood do somthing wichh portrays what we the brits done.

 simpley...... A masterpiece!!!

An amazing insight to the conflict of WW2, with great combat scenes, a moving story and superd actors to top it off. SPIELBERG AND HANKS ROCK.

Gritty and Emotional Ten-Part Portrayal of WWII

Based on the book by Stephen Ambrose Band of Brothers is a ten-part series following the actions of Easy Company starting with their initial boot camp training in Currahee.

Although the show follows Easy Company into the major battles and events of the European Campaign, each battle is shown from a different perspective to movies such as Saving Private Ryan with D-Day for example seeing the paratroopers land behind enemy lines without most of their weapons and supplies.

Slightly less 'Hollywood' than Saving Private Ryan and featuring some incredible acting performances Band of Brothers is a gritty and emotional portrayal of arguably the darkest time in European History.
