This sequel to the 1988 movie is actually better than the original, again it plays fast and loose with the facts, but makes for a very entertaining film. The violence might be more toned down from the originals blood lust. But the story and action are better. Estevez is even better in his portrail as the trigger happey Billy the Kid, and the friendship with Pat garret although purley fiction is a great added touch. Also Alan Slivestry's music score is allot better than the score in the original. Even Jon Bon Jovi's "Blaze Of Glory" theme tune still is great. It's just a better film all round, and with it's open ended ending is a great pitty they never made a Trilogy. Even so this film does end the saga in a Blaze Of Glory.
Young Guns II hits a bulls eye!

Young guns the original is definatly good in its own way but in my opinion this sequal blows it out of the water. The cast, the humor, the action and the story all up stage the origanal plus a few twists that definatly bring something new to the film.

I watched this film only because there was nothing else on TV and i didnt think it would be any good because its got a cheesy title but since i watched it i now love westerns. it is funny and has some very pretty horses aswell. very good film to sit back and watch. pretty good for a sequel.

Just finished watching this movie and, it's even better than the first, with a better all-star cast, better writing, and better acting. Emelio Estivez, Kiefer Sutherland, Lou Diamond Phillips, Christian Slater, William Petersen!!! It doesn't get any better than that. They all deliver wonderful performances, and this movie will keep you on the edge of your seat, dodging bullets and laughing right along with "the gang." This movie is very entertaining. If you liked the first film you need to watch this one as this one shows what happened to the gang after the first movie, and it tells how they finally ended up. Very enjoyable movie

I never actually knew that a sequel was released never mind available.

Trigger Genuis Billy back from the dead, or did he really escape death?? This follow up movie matches the first movie even though the gun battles are slightly less frequent. The regulators are back with new members.. Emilio Estevez plays his role brilliantly and doesn't lose his touch with the loaded gun.

The follow up is based around whether Billy and Pat Garrett were ever friends before it is said he killed Billy. Questions are raised and alot of different answers are provided. The debate is all opinion based. Was Brushy really Billy The Kid? That is 1 question that is up for debate.

Would highly recommend this film to anyone.

A great sequel, one of my favourite old movies of all time.. if someone reading these reviews has never seen it before you have to watch it, it's a light hearted western with good acting and a good storyline based upon billy the kid

This sequel to Young Guns is not historically accurate but who cares because it is once again full of action and fun. This time we see the Kid/Garrett story which was hinted at in the first film. This one has a more comedy feel to it and to be honest it is pretty funny! Estevez again is terrific and so is William Peterson as Pat Garrett.
