To all Tom Selleck fans this comes close second to Innocent Man, a brilliant unusual tale, the best part Alan Rickman gets killed AGAIN. It is a great shame that Tom has diversed to american tv films, are we never going to see him on the big screen again ?

First class western with a moral tale.
Great scenery in the outback and a real twist in the plot.
I really enjoyed it and this western could easily have had a sequel made.

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars  good western!

located in australia (down under...), it's a typical western about the good one (quigley, played by tom selleck) against the bad one (alan rickman), the dominant ranchboss vs the oppressed aboriginals, loyalty from attacked citizens, an unwinding love story, shootouts.
the storyline in itself is a bit predictable but the movie contains some pretty good performances and witty dialogues that make this western entertaining enough to enjoy it.
