Following his controversial shooting of a Miami drug cartel hit man, Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) is "exiled" to Eastern Kentucky and assigned to investigate Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins), a pal from his coal mining days in Harlan County and the leader of a deadly bank robbery gang. After Boyd masterminds the bombing of a church suspected of dealing marijuana, Raylan's work gets even more personal as he investigates the shooting death of Crowder's brother by his wife, whose schoolgirl crush on Raylan has never waned. In a life already complicated by his ex-wife's job as a court reporter and his dad's criminal past, Raylan pursues prison escapees, fugitive con men and a local sheriff working on both sides of the law. And as a rift arises within the Crowder crime family, Raylan must uncover Boyd's true motives if he is to save his life and the lives of those he loves.

This first series of justified is brilliant really shows how good america show are becoming and it doesn't take long to know whats happening in this series which is good because it can take to long and lose interest but this wont happen with this TV series.

This has to be one the most underrated series on TV. Interesting, colourful and thoroughly watchable characters. Engrossing story lines. Recommend to anyone who likes good TV.
