George Lazenby made his first and only appearance as James Bond, in this, the unheralded gem of the franchise. With an incredibly affecting denouement and one of John Barry's finest scores, OHMSS would show a different side to Bond and open up the character to different approaches in the future.

Agent 007 (George Lazenby) and the adventurous Tracy Di Vicenzo (Diana Rigg) join forces to battle the evil Spectre organization in the treacherous Swiss Alps. But the group's powerful leader, Ernst Stavro Blofeld (Telly Savalas) is launching his most calamitous scheme yet: a germ warfare plot that could kill millions!

With Connery gone, George Lazenby steps into his shoe's for his only movie as Bond. What a turn around. The two previose movies were starting to feel saggy. This move is one of the best, and makes Bond more human.
007 and the adventurous Tracy Di Vicenzo ( Diana Rigg ) join forces to battle SPECTRE and Blofeld ( Tely Savalas) in the tracherous Swiss Alps. As Blofeld plans is most calamitous scheme yet, a germ warfare plot that will kill millions. The film is excellent and the final scenes as Bond cradles his dead wife are very moving. Some critics knocked Lazenby's performance, as they were big shoes to fill after Connery. But the fact is, it takes time to develop a new Bond and Lazenby did a very good job. Given more roles as the character he could have been as good as Connery. This is one of the best Bond Movies of it's time.

Growing up as a kid, this was always the most underrated of the James Bond films, however in the last decade it's risen above cult status, it's now considered one of the best in the series. I have to disagree about it being better if Connery had played the role, if you remember Connery looked incredibly bored in 'You Only Live Twice', not to mention 'Diamonds Are Forever' which was a decent enough flick, but it was a bit too silly and was a sign of things to come (the Moore era). George Lazenby is not perfect, but for what it was, I thought he did a decent job, it was his first role (outside of modeling and advertising chocolate). Had he done more Bond films, I think he would have become quite popular, 'Diamonds Are Forever' would have been a decent revenge flick.

I rank this as the best, just managing to beat 'Casino Royale'. A must for any new Bond fan, also has a great Christmas atmosphere to it once Bond arrives in Switzerland.

 Wonderful

This movie is not really well know, being George Lazen his only movie as James Bond 007 agent. It is the only time that James Bond marries. In this movie he marries the beautiful Diana Rigg but....you really have to see this movie.

Far up! Far Out! Far More!

Without a doubt the highlight of the series, this ranks as number one, closely followed by Casino Royale. George Lazenby does a good job as well!
