Being directed by Alfred Hitchcock you almost automatically expect a great film and in this case, you're not far wrong.
Marnie is an interesting movie about a Woman, Marnie who appears to be a kleptomaniac (a thief), and not only that she has issues about the colour red, the physical touch of men and a fear of thunderstorms. The movie focuses on the character of Marnie and Sean Connery's character, Mark Rutland who is the owner of printing company where Marnie works. The two become involved in a strange relationship which will have you both liking and loathing them.
The story keeps you on your toes and you always feel there's something around the corner just waiting to come out. Will Marnie be caught, will it affect the relationship of both Marnie and Mr.Rutland and most puzzling of all why the fear of red, thunderstorms and men??
Marnie is a solidly written screenplay and is directed to the highest level by the king of thrillers, Alfred Hitchcock. Both Sean Connery's and Tippi Hedren's performances are of the top quality, both very believable and will surely suck you into this intriguing thriller.
