THE BOOK of the Twentieth Century is about to become the DVD event of the Twenty-first.
In a time before history, in a place called Middle-earth, a dark and powerful lord has brought together the forces of evil to destroy its cultures and enslave all life caught in his path. Sauron's time has come and he needs only one small object - a Ring that has been lost for centuries - to snuff out the light of civilization and cover the world in darkness.
An epic adventure of good against evil, a story of the power of friendship and individual courage, and the heroic quest to pave the way for the emergence of mankind, J.R.R. Tolkien's master work The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.

I must admit that this is my least favourite of the trilogy as it takes a while to get going but it builds a strong platform for the 2 sequels. Once again Peter Jackson has made a visual masterpiece and once with a very strong plot too. Not too much action but the fact its a fantasy adventure with an awesome cast makes this a very good watch. Enjoy
