In a time before history, in a place called Middle-earth, a dark and powerful lord has brought together the forces of evil to destroy its cultures and enslave all life caught in his path. Sauron's time has come and he needs only one small object - a Ring that has been lost for centuries - to snuff out the light of civilization and cover the world in darkness.
An epic adventure of good against evil, a story of the power of friendship and individual courage, and the heroic quest to pave the way for the emergence of mankind, J.R.R. Tolkien's master work The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.

I've seen the trilogy so many times now, i must know the scripting virtually off by heart. A fantastic cast deliver in the films of the books as you follow the fellowship through a breathtaking adventure that draws the audiance in. A stunning film, and in my opinion, one of the better films of the trilogy. The Fellowship of the Ring reveals a much deeper story than the other 2, whilst offering that sense of adventure which really entertains. Summed up in a sentence, this film makes you think to yourself; 'Wow'.
Absolutely amazing.

Nice to see that all books are not mangled when it comes to making them into films. Peter Jackson does a fantastic job throughout the whole film. This remains my favourite of the three films(even though it might have less action it's sequels) as it shows just what is at stake should the fellowships quest fail. The additional scenes essentially have produced a new movie, and the dvd extras are, unlike some other bonus additions, totally worthwhile.
Beyond Breath-taking!

A magnificently beautiful film. Remaining loyal to the book, peter jackson has made a huge leap from his earlier (and fantastic) blood-soaked gore-fests (bad taste, meet the feebles and braindead) - keep your eye out for a cameo from lionel's mother from braindead as a hobbit in the extended version of this. The action is brilliant, the shots are stunning, the special effects are breath-taking, the acting is superb, and the music is beyond phonemenol. Definetly one of the greatest film (if not the greatest trilogy) since 2000. A must see!"
