In this final explosive third installment of the Matrix trilogy, the city of Zion, last bastion of the human race, defends itself against the massive invasion of the machines as Neo attempts to fulfill his prophecy as 'The One'. As the Machine Army wages devastation on Zion, its citizens mount an aggressive defense, but can they stave off the relentless swarm of Sentinels long enough for Neo, adrift in a no man's land between the Matrix and the Machine world, to harness the full extent of his powers and end the war?

Matrix:Revolutions, i remember how excited i was in the cinema to finally find out the truth about The Matrix and co. Sadly it didn't happen. There were no great twists or great advances in the amazing philosophical views and ideas we were given in the original and Reloaded.Apart from Neo and Smith none of the other characters got there justified endings which was disappointing for all the hinting and ideas given to us in Reloaded about Trinity,Morpheus etc. What you saw was what you got, still an absolutely amazing battle in Zion though and the amazingly powerful CGI driven super fight between Neo and Smith was brilliant, really a triumph in movie magic there, again! Although honestly i felt great disappointment in the lack of any new ideas to ponder like we had with the others. Sadly the soul of this film was its imagery which tried to carry the film and only just failed, but that really was an anti-climatic ending to such an amazing ground-breaking and influential movie… more »

Sadly the soul of this film was its imagery which tried to carry the film and only just failed, but that really was an anti-climatic ending to such an amazing ground-breaking and influential movie trilogy.BUT!When not compared or criticised for its lack of answers, its ending did fit and the film was satisfying enough for you to appreciate its qualities. Great film, just annoying it didn't pay off the time of wondering about what was goin on i(and many others) spent in the months leading up to the second sequel. Great film, with a justified ending but not the blockbuster ending i wanted from this amazing film. Realism was the key in this film, from the Zion battle to the deaths of loved characters and end of the Matrix era, maybe they'll be some more someday? Hope so!

i give it a 3 star because the action and fighting is really good but the whole story line is just to complicated and abit confusing. buy it if you think you will understand

Top 100 DVD Reviewer
A visual spectacular, this movie spends the majority of its time in the 'real' world.
Spectacular action set pieces complete Neo's path as the one with man's war with the machines to save Zion, the last human city and all of humanity plugged into the Matrix.
Initially, like probably everyone who saw this movie's in theatres I left dissapointed, but with repeat viewings this really is excellent.
The fight against the sentinels at the gates of Zion spectacular, have a 5.1 Sound System this will rock your house down. The final Smith (or Smith's) fight against Neo in the crippled Matrix again outstanding as they fly and hit each other with such force you won't help but laugh in awe. Especially as Neo's slow mo fist goes through the rain drops and cracks Smith in the face.
In not spoiling the ending, if you were a fan of the original Matrix then you should see its Neo story through to completion.

Reeves is brilliantly cast as Neo or Mr. Anderson and the acting, visuals and general desgin of the whole Matirx world is breath taking.
However the Warchoski's chose to end there phenomenon would lead to fans wanting more or something else. But this is a great visual specatacular and frankly amazing end to the Matrix
