i was dragged kicking and screaming to the cinema to see this when it came out.1 minute into the film and i was grinning like a loon.im not a fan of romantic comedies,especially french ones but this film is just a joy from start to finish.the story,acting,cast and production are all superb.its a sweet,simple tale of a girl who delights in making other peoples lives better even though her life has its ups and downs.you will laugh and cry in equal measure as amelie weaves her spell on all around her and on the viewing audience.feeling low or down ? you wont be after watching this.magical ! get the 2 disc set.there are some great behind the scenes footage.

I cannot begin to describe how beautifully made this film is. So simple yet so complex, this film will capture your imagination and seduce you. Wonderful acting with a superb soundtrack - make this the film you will watch today. It will make you appreciate life so much more. Wonderful.

This film, as suggested by others here, touches you right at the heart, in all depths and all emotions. The moving, funny, innocent story of Amélie will stay with me for the rest of my life, and only by watching this incredible film can you realise why. Words can't do justice to this film's beauty, and I mean this in every sense. I honestly do not think that anybody who watches this film doesn't feel happier and heartwarmed at the end of it.
