WOMEN, THE'LL CHEW YOU UP AND SPIT YOU OUT!

| | See all MovieAddict's reviews (1336)

Doghouse is the best British horror comedy of the year, it's eveything that Lezbian Vampire Killers promised and failed to be. It's very funny, brilliant one lines and great over the top gore, it's just an outstandingly funny 90 minutes of bloody comic book fun. The cast is great, and the pace of the film is fast and furious. It will be compared to Shaun of the Dead, but it's not quite as good as that, but if you liked Danny Dyer in Severence and the similar The Cottage, with a splattering of Evil Dead, then you'll love every gory minute.
It's a Bloody superb lads night in!

  A film for the Lads

Get a few of the lads round, a few beers and your in for an hour and a half of top notch british horror comedy. The effects are good (reminiscent of C4's Dead Set). Blokes can relate to every charater - there wont be one that doesn't remind you of a mate and the story flow is easy and jumps almost straight into the action. More like this from Jake West please.......

Quite possibly the greatest film ever made!!!!
Girl zombies, remote control cars, football & beer.
Easily better than Shaun of the Dead
Constantly funny, loads of jumpy bits, fantastic cast, great effects.
A film that truly deserves a big 5 stars

When i ordered this film there was six reviews all giving it 5 starts, and with the film only being £8.99 and staring Danny Dyer and Stephen Graham you realy cant go wrong.
I found the film real funny but also real predictable in parts.
I do feel Danny Dyer could of gave abit more in this film but all in all he still made me laugh and i will be definitely watching this film again.

  Big, Dumb, stupid film

Billed as a "Horor-Comedy", Doghouse is ridiculous, frequently silly, but still enjoyable. Whilst never particularly scary, it is at least a diverting bit of lads' entertainment and it has some nice ideas and delivers several belly laughs - too laddish and corny to even be compared to the witty Shaun Of The Dead, but at least a step up from Lesbian Vampire Killers.

You can imagine a gang of lads writing the plot on a stag night on the back of a beer mat - a group of sexist lads go on a stag weekend only to find all the women are zombies, thus providing the perfect excuse to show women being beaten up by men. Whilst this would normally be inexcusable, it is so tongue-in-cheek that it all feels harmless. An unoriginal but entertaining bit of nonsense - and sometimes.....just sometimes...isn¹t that exactly what you want on a Friday night?

Saw this at the cinema, was suprised it was not advertised much but went and saw it, what a great film!! Had me in stiches! It is so much more funnier than Shaun of the Dead, and far better than that lame Lesbian Vampire Killers Film. Has alot of gore to.

Danny Dyer and the rest of the group are excellent. Also a suprise apperance from a ex-well known eastender!

Buy and you won't be disappointed!

Great entertainment from some of Britain's best young actors. Saw it at the cinema & you just have to laugh, even the horror bits are funny.
