As a huge fan of True Life Movies I've collected quite a few of them, all of varying quality, however 'Rivals' is a brilliant movie. It's a poignant, downright sad story of a young girl who gets mixed up with a boy, and then falls out with his girlfriend, who was once her friend. It shows the stalking of Laurie Show, and the absolute hell she is put through before she is murdered in cold blood in her own home. Although this is a made for tv movie, it's of a superior quality to most of the others I've watched. I'd highly reccomend this movie. It will be a worthwhile addition to your DVD collection.
something so horrific that no mother should go through...

The first time I saw this, it was on late at night and I only caught the last half of the film. Then I finally got to see all of it from a repeat a few nights later. The shock I felt was like a bomb in my chest. This film just goes to show the level of evil that is out there and within something so innocent that we could never think they could be nasty at all. Let alone kill. But that happened to Laurie Show, to which this film tells the story.
This film is good and I would recommend to anyone to buy it because it really hits you. And it hits you hard. It opens your eyes to what can really happen, if you do not already know. Another reason why it is good is because it is well produced and very well done on the part of the actors. Jennifer Finnigan who plays the victim and Marnette (Marne) Patterson who plays the stalker, Michelle. Such innocence is portrayed from Jennifer Finnigan that really feel for her and such jealousy, hate and rage from Marnette Patterson's character that you cannot help but hate her immensely or just simply feel sorry for her.
I cannot praise this film enough and feel for the events that it is based on that destroyed lives and killed another...
