This film is extremely well made, and the plot twists and turns through the whole film, it reminds me of L.A. Confidential....but L.A. Confidential was interesting, gripping and action packed, a brilliant thriller taken beautifully to the Silver Screen...Syriana was just not an entertaining film for me. If you like to unwind with a movie, be entertained, have a few beers, cuddle up to your partner, have an IQ of less than 200....don't watch this film. It gets 2 stars because it contains some great acting and some immense work, but an intellectual film should leave you thinking, wondering about the sub plot... if you want to be left thinking about a movie, watch Mulholland Drive.

If you struggle with complex plots, then leave this alone, however, you may need to watch more than once to fully understand all the strings happening throughout the film. Fully recommended.

If you have a short attention span then you will be going mad with this film. I saw it in the cinema and liked it but didn't fully understand it. I bought it on dvd and got it finally. Well worth watching and a good view of today's world. A good 4 star film.

If you like multi threaded plot thrillers such as Traffic then this is a really great film.

If you have a short attention span, then the film is not for you!

One of the worst films i have ever watched. With a decent cast you would really think that the film would be better, but no. The story is split between multiple characters with no purpose. The entire story is poor, i didnt see all of this because it was so boring!!! I saw it at the cinema and walked out after about an hour, i was surprised i lasted that long!!
