I think Karen Carpenter had the most soothing and lovely voice ever (apart from Doris Day), I'm certain her voice could bring me back from the brink of madness or deep despair; I think she should be made the patron saint of all lonely people everywhere.
Some of the upbeat numbers are really cheesy, but I love : 'Calling occupants of interplanetary craft', Rainy days and Mondays,' 'Ticket to ride' and 'We've only just begun.'
It's a tragic waste that she died so young of anorexia, who knows what she might have gone on to achieve.
