I remember Big Deal, it was the best at the time and now that we can buy it on DVD it will be something special to treasure as I look back to when I was a Robbie Box, but not as lucky.
The trouble with this is that they have brought out Big Deal Series 1 and they did the same with Boon Series 1 and then advertised Series 2&3 for sale but not in stock, so I ordered it from Play.com early in 1996 and I am still waiting in 2008, they also did the same with the Series 1&2 of Just Good Friends, they brought out the first 2 and I am still waiting for the third series to be sent from mid 2007.
My point is, will they do the same to BIG DEAL, or will I be just whistling in the dark again. Why do they keep doing it? They are all just Barcelonian Bargain Hunters.

This was a truly magnificent series with an impressive cast. Ray Brooks is excellent as Robbie Box. When it first came on to our screens I can remember people leaving the pub early in order not to miss an epsiode. Definately a drama that stands above the rest and certainly better than a lot of the average dramas we see on television today. I was so hoping a fourth series would be released but sadly it was not to be. Watch it - I promise you won't be disappointed!
The BBC made 3 series from October 14th 1984, until November 4th 1986. The thing is will they bring them all out on DVD?
I have been very tempted to buy this 1st Series, but will wait for all 3 to become available (if they ever do)?
I have rated this series a maximum of 5 stars, because I can remember it very well indeed, and found each episode a real pleasure to watch.
