I wasn't aware that there was a 2 disc edition of 'Downfall' but after watching the film I wished I had discovered it because it really made me want to look into the creation process and hear what the cast had to say about it all.

This film is very intriguing and very well carried out. I've grown quite keen with subtitled movies these days because it really helps the stories feel more authentic. The cast are very convincing in their roles and I'll echo other reviewers who have raved about Bruno Ganz's performance as Hitler by saying it is remarkable!

The story concentrates on Hitler's and the German high command's final hours of the war. It illustrates the maddening passion, desperation and frightening opinions and experiences shared in the bunkers as the Russian army wades through Berlin.

'Downfall' would be a great addition to any war film collection but also insightful to others too. It's highly interesting and a unique story which keeps you captivated throughout.
