Dr. David Banner is a research scientist trying to find a way to tap into the hidden strength that all humans possess. Then, one night in his labratory, an experiment went wrong, causing him to be overexposed to gamma radiation. Now, whenever angered or distressed, the mild-mannered scientist finds himself transforming into a powerful seven-foot green creature known as the Incredible Hulk...

Criss-crossing the country in search of a cure, Banner takes various odd jobs under different aliases. During this odyssey, he tries to avoid the pursuit of investigative reporter Jack McGee, who suspects the Hulk of murder, and who is determined to discover the creature's true identity.

 Good memories

It's been wonderful to watch this show again as an adult...as a child all i remembered was copying the roars and tossing of villains (played by my pillows) over cars.. etc, but as an adult i enjoyed this series on a different level and can see the characters moral dilemmas and the great storylines.

 HULK RULES!

The 1st series was kicked off with two excellent pilot episodes. The Incredible Hulk is an undeniable classic, with superb acting from Bixby, Ferrigno and the great Susan Sullivan. Kenny Johnson introduced the characters brilliantly.

Death In The Family is not as good, but still entertaining, with Laurie Prange in solid form as the girl whom David and the Hulk have to save. It also features the first guest appearance of Gerald McRaney.

As for the 1-hour eps, there are some gems in there. Final Round, Of Guilt, Models and Murder, Life & Death and The Waterfront Story are the best ones.

The Hulk Breaks Las Vegas starts off the trend of painting the Jack McGee character in a more favourable light. 747 is a great ep, showing David struggling hard not to turn into the creature.

The Beast Within has some fantastic hulkouts.

I wasn't born yet when this season came on (ITV showed it in summer of '78), but now that I've got it, I'm as happy as can be.

This will always remaind me of the 80s then i watched it with my grandparents. I LOVE Bill Bixby nobody comes close being good enough to be Dr David Banner. Every eposide i could watch over and over again and never get tired. Also Lou Ferringo plays the hulk 100% perfect not a computer animated one. Long live Bixby and Ferringo.

Picked this up ages ago for £10 from Play but my review hasn't been placed and i have only just noticed, so here is my second!
Another of my favourite tv shows when i was a kid with the likes of The A-Team, Knight Rider (which i now own Ultimate collections)and Streethawk! If i was out playing my mum would give me a shout and i would run home as fast as i could so as not to miss anything!!
Like all the other tv shows watching them now is a real blast from the past and now matter how old i get i still enjoy watching them!!
Even now, the Hulk played by Lou Ferrigno, is still one seriously big dude and the guys muscles are just unbelievable! No wonder he looked like a monster to me as a boy!!
This is a must have addition to any collection especially for fans or those who want to relive there childhood, so grab a boxset while they are still around!!
Nice one Play more deals like this!!
