Review

"We are the mods, we are the mods,
we are, we are, we are the mods!"

London 1964: two rival youth cults emerge - the mods and the rockers - with explosive consequences. For Jimmy (Phil Daniels) and his sharp-suited, pill-popping, scooter-riding mates, being a mod is a way of life. It's their generation.

Together they head off to Brighton for an orgy of drugs, thrills and violent confrontation against the rockers. Jimmy never wants to stray from his maxim: "I don't wanna be like everybody else, that's why I'm a mod, see?" Will Jimmy emerge a hero or will he be disillusioned by his way of life?

Quadrophenia"a who,s who of british young Talent all fresh faced an tearing it up in 79.I Remember the 1st time this was on t..v""it was Cut to Ribbons and the Sun paper said"Avoid"Violent and Nasty",Needless to say i snuck down with my blank video to record it.Phil daniels is brilliant in his debut film,he,s almost always on screen and thank god john Lyden never got the job"he was a snarling young oink"but i dont think the film would have been as good.Great music from The Who and great additional music too,Swearing,Fighting,Shaggin, and genrally being a little bit naughty,"That,ll be a classic Youth culture film then"& that films called Quadrophenia Mush""Now arry up ive heard theres a party up the Kitchen and row.

Another of my favourites, because of the excellent acting, soundtrack and directing. It features (John?) Bindon, a real-life gangster given an almost life-like casting as a mob member.
Goes back to the days of bitter rivalry between mods and rockers; scooters and motorbikes; green parkas and leather jackets.
Brilliant moving tragedy that makes you laugh and cry, and features one of the most controversial endings ever depicted on film.
See this movie - it's worth buying!

This is a excellent british film, with such a big star studded cast!Following the life of Jimmy, you see how hard it is to be in a group(mods) when you have a friend in the rockers! who do you choose?
With the drugs, sex and rock and roll this film is a must have.
