Another of my favourites, because of the excellent acting, soundtrack and directing. It features (John?) Bindon, a real-life gangster given an almost life-like casting as a mob member.
Goes back to the days of bitter rivalry between mods and rockers; scooters and motorbikes; green parkas and leather jackets.
Brilliant moving tragedy that makes you laugh and cry, and features one of the most controversial endings ever depicted on film.
See this movie - it's worth buying!
Brilliant

This is a excellent british film, with such a big star studded cast!Following the life of Jimmy, you see how hard it is to be in a group(mods) when you have a friend in the rockers! who do you choose?
With the drugs, sex and rock and roll this film is a must have.
Whats wrong? Rubber band busted.....

Top movie, great story, funny at times and an interesting look into the loss of direction in youth, also funny looking at how parts of London have changed over the years too!

One of the best films ever from the British Film Industry. Made in 78/79 it tells the story of 60's Mod life - Pills, Parties, Music & Bank Holiday mayhem. With a top notch cast including the fantastic Phil Daniels this movie is a must see! The Who's 1973 album came to life in the hands of Franc Roddam at the helm. The 2-disc has been long overdue and now the film has finally got it's justice, although a 5.1 or DTS soundtrack would of served The Who to their Ultimate best. Personally speaking Quadrophenia is the only Dvd I have watched from start to finish with all the commentaries and extras. A truely great film. Don't take my word for it, buy it & see.

Franc Roddam expertly directs this adaption of The Who's 1973 rock opera, with all the gusto of Keith Moon's drumming. Featuring a knockout cast (many of whom seem to have ended up in either The Bill, Eastenders or Emmerdale), this tells the story of one James Michael Cooper and his quest to win the girl (Leslie Ash's Stephanie) and become an Ace Face.
Each member of the cast, gives it their all, making this a must own film. The action is powered by the soundtrack, which was over seen by John Entwistle. Featuring a mix of classic Mod tracks and songs from The Who, this is a film with repeat viewing value.

This is a brilliant film semi-based on a teenage mod who took his life in the early 60's. It's worth getting the 2 disc version because the interviews are great and give inside information to the film. This contains music from the whos album Quadrophenia which the film is based on.
