Everyone grew up watching james bond movies on the bank holidays, all wishing we had super gadgets and cool cars.. Now bond is back, better than ever with all the rough edges thrown in for good measure. Although never a fan of brosnan,i personally do think daniel craig is the best bond since roger moore. Still having the glamour of the bond character, this bond is more aggresive, and witty than before. Based on the first novel by ian fleming, casino royale starts off before oo7 got his license to kill. The on foot chase at the beggining of the film had me gripped.. Amazing stunts and better than the foot chase in point break (just though). With the release of quantum of solace due soon, this bond film should be on anyones dvd shelf. The best bond in decades.

Bond movies certainly needed a shake up after Die Another Day, and this movie ticks all the boxes. Daniel Craig makes a superb Bond and the action is non stop. I never get bored with this movie and the bonus features are very watchable too. A must for any Bond fan.
love it

An absolute improvement on the actual film (i cannot emphasise that enough) of die another day. While before bond used a micro explosive to blow someones rear to pieces now bond is more likely to swing down from a balcony and kick the villains head so hard it rolls into the sea. Believe me there isn't any decapitating in James Bond's...yet. Great fights, action packed, car chases, diseased villain and an absolutely top of the mark theme tune (You Know My Name) try searching it on youtube. Best Bond Ever!!

If ever there was a movie franchise in need of re-vamping its Bond...After the awful Brosnan era ,Die another Day being the worst with its ridiculous over the top gadgets (an invisible car for crying out loud) and the kiss of death for any film Madonna ! I'm glad to see that the studio have now gone back to basics.
I read somewhere that the reason for this was that the studio liked (the rather excellent) Bourne trilogy with its "no gadgets and relying on your own wits policy" which I have to say works brilliantly, and Daniel Craig is really good as a "no nonsense" Bond. Looking forward to Quantum of Solace although the title sounds like it should belong to an Indina Jones or Harry Potter film and just hope that they keep it more grounded like Casino Royale.
great film

The director has tried a different approach to bond, and its worked!!!They have made him more bourne but still kept the classic bond theme.Daniel Craig has done a brilliant performance (hope it continues in Quantum of solace). Casino Royale is a great film and every bond fan has to watch it (ive been a bond fan from the age of 6!!!)
Bonds Finest adventure yet

This is probably the best Bond so far, Daniel Craig really surprised me with his performance and he'll surprise others too, spectacular action sequences along with a thrilling script, and also boasts the best bond song "You know my name" by Chris Cornell, this is an amazing action adventure, a perfect return after the very disappointing Die another day.

GoldenEye was always my favourite Bond film, and Casino Royale, coming from the same director, easily equalled it. Bond needed a reboot after becoming too silly in Die Another Day, and Daniel Craig was just the man. He successfully handles the arrogant persona, sly humour and the characteristic changes that Bond has to go through during the film, as well as all the brutally realistic action sequences. It also follows the book very closely, apart from the obligatory final action sequence which sees a Venice building spectacuarly sinking in to the water.
