I Know What You Did. A chilling message that draws five seemingly disparate characters into a dark tale of blackmail and desire. A blind recluse with an unusual hobby, a love-struck telekinetic dwarf, an embittered hook-handed clown, a murder-obsessed man-child, and a deranged but caring midwife all receive the same ominous message sending their already bizarre lives into turmoil.

All are affected in different ways by the letters and as more chilling messages are received the five are forced to confront their past and the secret that binds them together. From the team behind cult classic The League of Gentlemen, this cliff-hanging comedy thriller weaves a tale of intrigue, mystery and suspense.

Psychoville is a must purchase.
The type of television where you put on one episode and won't stop till you've watched it all.

The acting,directing are superb.

But what really stands out and excells, is the beautifully crafted writing.

Each characters distinct voice, each sub-plot and story, brilliantly told.

Fantastic dialogue and so well paced.

In most shows there's always a dodgy episode.

Not in this.

While The league of gentlemen series three - tried this type of multi-arc and in my humble opinion failed.

This series is from a writer/ writers who have honed craft ot perfection.

What's so rare is to find a television show that makes you feel for a character that is completely ruthless.
Yet you feel sympathy for all of them for at they're core they are hurt individiuals.

Dawn French is great and when she utters the line, "I've known great pain" - you know she means it.

In terms of writing/ directing/ acting/ story arc.

I quite simply couldn't fault this show.

A great black comedy series from the BBC

 ONE SIMPLE WORD: OUTSTANDING!

Psychoville takes many concepts from their earlier work "League Of Gentlemen" and throws in far more dark humour, horror film clichés and morbid elements such as serial killers into it. Very well written, and directed! If you're a fan of League Of Gentlemen, horror films or serial killers (or all 3) then this is a MUST for your collection! Theres nothing i can say that would make you decide to buy this, but really, if this sounds like your thing, then you shouldn't be disappointed in any way shape or form! Very impressed indeed!

5 stars doesn't do Psychoville any justice. A solid 10 out of 10!

 Frightfully Funny

Psychoville will probably be compared to The League of Gentlemen more times than I care to count. As such, I myself will compare the two. Psychoville is a lot darker and a lot dirtier though the jokes will make you laugh out loud there can be no doubt that the show is eerie. Perhaps not as funny as Royston Vasey, the characters are non the less original and brilliantly thought out. The plot is tense and well written with plenty of breathing space for character development and jokes. Altogether a great follow up to their previous work and definitely worth a look.

Not as good as League, but miles better than most BBC comedy

Let's face it without the writing input of mark gatiss and jeremy dyson, this was never likely to be as good as league of gentlemen. Don't get me wrong, it's wonderfully dark, and very similar to that show in many respects, but just not as twisted & funny. Many of the characters bear more than a passing resemblance to residents of royston vasey, and that rather dampens the originality of the show. On the plus side dawn french is superb. I still hold out hope that all the guys will work together again on a new project. Perhaps i'm being too hard on psychoville, because league was so utterly brilliant & virtually impossible to follow. Still, despite some disppointment this is still miles better than most of the so called "comedy" drivel the bbc inflicts on us.
