God Man Dog

Taiwanese cinema is fairly unknown around the world with most people not even realising big name Hollywood director, Ang Lee is actually from the small island.
God Man Dog is ultimately a story of social classes, there are a number of characters from different backgrounds and social classes. The film follows them through their lives before they all come together.
The film is a drama which focusses on people and society in itself. It could be classed as a character case study or even a sociology study based film.
The directing is good and the writing is good, the only place which really lets down this movie is some of the acting. At times it seems a little wooden and falsed, it has a non genuine feel about it and at times can be very obvious.

Overall: God Man Dog is a unique movie, it perhaps holds a little more value to Taiwanese people since its their culture and society. But still as a westerner you'll find something you can relate to.
