Part poetic evocation, part road-movie and featuring fascinating interviews and footage from the classic film versions of the tale, including Sam Peckinpah's 'Pat Garrett & Billy The Kid' and Arthur Penn's 'The Left Handed Gun', Requiem for Billy the Kid takes an entirely fresh outlook into the American west, both past and present. Kris Kristofferson reprises his role from the Peckinpah movie to impersonate the outlaw as he rises from the dead to give his own account of events.
