Dead Man's Chest is the second film in the Pirates Of The Caribbean series, this is also basiclly the start of the second story in the Pirates Of The Caribbean universe.

I personally thought it was a great film and as sequel goes, it wasn't a bad one. It basiclly starts the new story so you don't really need to of seen the first one to get it, but the first one is the best out of all 3 so I would recommend it. The first part of the new story basiclly sets the theme for the final film (3rd now as a 4th is confirmed) and gets you into the story by introducting some new characters. When you watch this and the 3rd one it's good, but on it's own, the film is pointless, but as a series it rules, which is why I like it. I felt this was a great sequel and again, is acted well and has some good special effects, just like the first.

Too long, and too wrapped up in its various plot contrivances to notice it'€™s veering off course. But Jack just about pulls the wheel back, aided by Verbinski'€™s flair for cartoonish comedy action.

As i hear alot of people say 'the original is always the best' in this case it was. But still i enjoyed it, at least Captain Jack Sparrow was in it.

The second film fo the trilogy has a good story line and the already familiar characters are developed, a sequel will always be hard pushed to compete with the success of a film like "Curse of the Black Pearl" however "Dead Man's Chest" matches up very well against its prequel. Dead Man's Chest is definately a sequel and is not really made to be a stand alone film.

This film is just even better, much better than the first one and third. Just watch it.

This film is a must see movie if you like fantasy movies and are willing to suspend your disbelief. The action scenes wre great, the jokes were funny, Johnny Depp and Geoffrey Rush stole the show for me in all three movies. Why Orlando Bloom and Kiera Knightly were cast is unknown to me. Neither actor is worthy of a role in this, both are too young (as actors ie not enough experience) and too wooden on screen so the only reason they were cast is that they are good looking to help pull in the crowds... but Johnny Depp brings them in! The two actors are just shown up when on screen with Johnny Depp as their lack of experience is obvious especially as he is so good. However I still give this movie 5 stars as everything else is so good it just about makes up for Kiera and Orlando. This movie is a must have for anyone who wanted to be a pirate growing up and is a pleasure to watch.

By far the best in the trilogy. Full of awesome special effects and a great story. Shame the third movie was not as good as this. A must by for all pirate lovers out there. ARRRRRGGH!!!

This is probably my favorite film of all time it is the best out of the 3, The movie has fantastic cinematography and great music.
Pirates 2 develops the characters brilliantly and has a stunning and which will defiantly make you want to see the 3rd edition.
There are great performances by Johnny Depp, Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom. They all make the characters there own and all deserve the roles!! No matter what anyone says!!
Naomie Harris has the best character but doesn't really come a special part of the movie until pirates 3.
Gore Verbinski did a great job!!
This is a great gift for Christmas and is worth every penny of your money! And will defiantly not disappoint.

The first movie was a classic, it's a real shame I can't say the same for the second chapter. This film was shot back to back with part three of the trilogy. And both this and the third chapter suffer from a messy script, and is a perfect example of a studio getting greedy and starting filming before the script is even completed, so it can be in the cinema for the following summer. Also the film is way too long , a could have had better editing. But saying this Depp is again brilliant and saves this film.also the computer generated Davie Jones is breath taking. The action is still good and again Hanz Zimmer music score is excellent. Not forgetting the Giant Kracon attacking the ship has to be mentioned for a brilliant show stopping moment. The film leaves you longing for part three Just to tie up the loose ends of the confusing script. This is still a very good film, and needs you to see the third chapter to appreciate it more.

Loved the first and loved this one even more, its a pity the 3rd didnt follow suit.
