Not as good as the first but it brings a classic character back that i havnt seen in a film for ages. once again CAPTIN Jack Sparrow and his crew are back to search the sea for Gold.it is a great watch but dont expect it to be better than the first , because it isnt! This is the type of film that you can see without seeing the first but you wont feel like you know the characters and in a film like this it is important.

  its ok but...

Dead Man's Chest really is a brilliant step up from Curse of the Black Pearl, containing humour, action, adventure - exactly what you'd hope and expect to be included in a pirate film!

Johnny Depp gives an outstanding performance as the ever-witty Captain Jack Sparrow, Keira Knightley once again creates a beautiful masterpiece with Elisabeth Swann, and Orlando Bloom steps up his game from the first film, making his character Will Turner appear much more likeable in this film than he did in the first!

The exciting and fast-moving plot keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole way through, and the cliff hanger ending leaves the audience gagging to know what has happened to the beloved Captain Jack. Altogether this film acts as an epic adventure, suitable for most ages, and enjoyed by all!

Oh, and a quick word on the DVD extras - watch the blooper reel, it really had me laughing!!

Persuaded to watch this turkey by a friend. Kiera Knightly is super-hot but cannot save the movie.

Dead mans chest is brilliant!!!

This film is jam packed full of action, adventure, comedy and mystery. Johnny Depp plays the role of Captain Jack Sparrow superbly as a slightly odd always drunk Captain.

Great fun for all the family and worth having on DVD!!!

i am amazed to find that not everyone has seen this yet ?
it is not in my opinion as good as the 'black pearl '
but it really does not matter.
it's worth buying even if it's only to watch the humour
generated throughout the movie.
this is the first film i went to see at the cinema ( '2006' )
where as they apparently do in the u.s. at the end,the
audience applauded ( clapped ).
never expierienced it before or since.'that alone should
give a hint on how popular these films are for all ages.
power to the 'disney studios' another must have movie.
the new one is out in the cinema to go watch.
not as good again as the first or in fact the second,
but who cares when there's still so much to enjoy and
laugh at. ( hope they make a fourth,i'm sure they must )
' enjoy '

  Kept in suspense

This one was good, however i do think the first one (The Curse of the Black Pearl) was much better; more realistic and easier to follow whereas this one is pretty stupid.

It is a good film to watch and gorgeous Johnny Depp who plays Jack Sparrow is just as funny as ever with his witty remarks. BUT... we have to wait for the next one (At World's End) to come out to follow him and the others on their adventure to find out what happens next...

  Hmmmmm, not so sure

This film was NOTHING compared to the first one. We were 4 grown adults sitting watching it and, I hate to admit it, we all got confused as to what was happening, and one of us actually fell asleep (not me, though, even if the film wasn't that good, there was still Johnny to look at). I hope the 3rd film is better as I was disappointed with this installment, especially after how fabulous the first film was.

I just thought 'it's a pity you can't vote these as Zero stars but then considered the cartoon-ish action sequence at the start with Depp as a kebab, That's worth one star - just. The rest of this film is the Hollywood equivalent of Allo Allo - the gag got a chuckle the first time, so repeat till fade. A true pity because the first film was genuinely good.
