In this visually stunning sci-fi adventure, two warriors engaged in a savage, futuristic war between Earth and the planet Dracon, crash-land on a desolate, fiery planet. At first, the human (Dennis Quaid) and his reptilian alien opponent (Louis Gossett Jr.) are intent on destroying each other. But after battling the elements and each other, the two stranded pilots gradually realize that the only way either of them will survive is to overcome their undying hatred...

This film is different as it's an alien film with a heart. This orignal look at friendship, trust, and ultimately love, makes this film a good watch - for young, old, male or female. The special effects have weathered a tad, but this doesnt affect this character/relationship driven plot - in which Quad does a good Harrison Ford impression... Shut your eyes and listen to his dialogue!... "Laugh it up, Fuzzball!"

I was looking through the offers at play when I saw this film, I certainly brings back memories of the great 80's films such as Red Dawn and Back to the Future. The surprisingly good special effects, the great storyline and the fantastic emotional and judgemental attitude this film addresses all add to a memorable and enjoyable experience. If you are young don't let the age of the film put you off, this is unfortunately a forgotten classic.
