Review

The only thing more dangerous than the line being crossed is the cop who will cross it...

A gripping drama set in the shadowy world of undercover police work, 'Training Day' tells the story of a veteran L.A.P.D. narcotics officer (Denzel Washington in an Oscar-winning role) who guides an idealistic rookie (Ethan Hawke) through his first day on the brutal inner-city beat.

Quite simply my favourite film. Watch as Denzel changes from arrogant & egotistical throughout the film. Ethan Hawke gives a good performance, but alongside Denzel, he never has the chance to shine. There is action, there is culture, but sometimes, there is more required, if you want "Feel" with a capital F, then this is for you.

this is an excellent cop thriller full of twists and suprises that keeps you guessing right til the very end.

both ethan and denzel are PERFECT in this movie, denzel is a veteran narc officer who has new boy ethan on his first day, his training day.

it soon becomes clear that denzel doesnt always go by the rule book and ethan gets more and more concerned by his actions yet despite him questioning denzels actions he is given several chances to quit being a narc and go back to being a pen pusher and doing traffic stops, he stays at it.

what follows next is an adrenaline fueled thriller that will have you saying to yourself 'would i have bailed out there and said enough is enough' you really put yourself in ethans shoes throughout the movie which only adds to the suspence of the movie.

"to catch a wolf, you gott be a wolf yourself" just how far would you go?
