This film must be seen!!!! It has a great performance by the 2 lead characters. Denzel Washington in particular will blow you away as the bad cop.

Don't think just buy!

I remember when this first came out and it immediately went up there as one of my favourite films. I used to have it on VHS and watched it all the time. I bought it recently on DVD and enjoyed it as much as I did back then.

Denzel Washington is outstanding, and I can see why he won an award for best leading actor for this. I've always rated him and this is one of his best roles.

Ethan Hawke does well in his role, and they worked well together. The story is exciting, exhilarating and full of action. It's always got that eerie feel to it as well, and you never know what's up inside Denzel's head.

Top notch movie, make sure it's added to your movie collection!!

Denzel Washington - Single handedly makes this film.

Simple, my favourite actor. He always plays the good guy, the detective, the cop, this time, its the other way, you can check out his awards for this film; it's outstanding. My favourite film of all time.

  Denzel is an immense actor

Few actors could pull of a performance as good as this. Denzel is an absolute hero. He deserved his oscar for this role of a undercover narcotics cop who is slightly corrupt. Ethan hawke plays a rookie who is assigned to denzel's unit. Watch the first scene where hawke meets denzel in the coffee shop. An epic scene. Denzel is immense in every scene. Watch out for the final emotional scene. Gripping stuff. buy this but prepare for a tough film

one of the best actors around

  FANTASTIC COP THRILLER

What can i say Denzel Washington is a fantastic actor and has had many great films but in my opinion this is his best. Denzel plays a dirty cop who shows a young hot shot Ethan Hawke the ropes of police work the corrupt way. It has an excellent plot and brilliant performances from all the cast which makes it overly well rounded and an excellent couple hours of entertainment. Enjoy

Excellent movie and Washington is great in it. Very good cop thriller with lots of twists and turns, great story that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Great acting from everyone, even the people with minor roles are good. Good case of good cop - bad cop which it done often but this is done very well. Everyne should have this in there collection.

Atmosphere & Acting At Its Best

Quite simply my favourite film. Watch as Denzel changes from arrogant & egotistical throughout the film. Ethan Hawke gives a good performance, but alongside Denzel, he never has the chance to shine. There is action, there is culture, but sometimes, there is more required, if you want "Feel" with a capital F, then this is for you.
