Evil has a new home

After the continuous sleep walking episodes of Sharon, the young daughter of Rose Da Silva, the decision is made to take Sharon to the place only mentioned in her restless dreams- Silent Hill. However, the road to Silent Hill is anything but easy to access, and Rose creates a high speed chase between herself and a police officer only to end in a crash for them both. When she wakes up, Sharon has disappeared and Rose is at the entrance to the deserted, dream-like town of Silent Hill. As Rose begins the search for her daughter, she does not realize the terror and mystery surrounding her. Rose is led on a blind search for her beloved daughter, finding herself getting more and more entwined into disturbing past of Silent Hill.

I like a horror film as much as the next person, but this was too much. Yes, the effects were great, but the storyline was terrible. I could barely follow the film at all and at first couldn't wait for the ending to see just why the town had ended up that way, but when the climax began I just wanted to turn it off. The whole thing made me feel sick, and in the final scenes the great effects were the biggest disadvantage - if you feel queasy easily this film definitely isn't for you. The whole film was far too evil, I mean I know horror films are all evil to some point but this didn't seem to have any reason for it. I didn't even feel scared afterwards, more disgusted and traumatised. Normally a horror would leave me feeling terrified but otherwise normal, not sad!! I definitely wouldn't watch it again. If you like a film with a good storyline, please don't watch this!
