Possibly the best British film ever made, ignore the 1 star review....
The Yorkshire TV 1972 feature about Huddersfield, Mason's home town, is splendid! Illustrates life in this dynamic town describing the then successful Woollen Industry , engineering and manufacturing strength, the widespread access to wonderful music and the unique qualities and old fashioned admirable values of the people and life before our lives have been taken over by red tape, IT and gadgets! Forget the film and enjoy this fascinating glimps at how live used to be - hard but somehow more worthwhile.
