Great start to the successful tv program that is 24. Is a rollercoaster of thrills, amazing acting, elistha cuthbert !?! what more could you ask for ? Buy it, you wont regret it
It's a thriller that takes places over 24 hours, midnight to midnight, in 24 one-hour episodes (well, 45-minute episodes if you subtract the commercials). Everything takes place in real time, which means no flashbacks, no flash-forwards, no handy time-dissolves. Every strand of the plot has to be dovetailed and interlocked so things happen just when they should, in the right amount of time.
as federal agent Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) runs around L.A. trying to stall an assassination attempt on an African American presidential candidate and rescue his wife and daughter from the clutches of the Balkan baddies. Twists, turns, revelations, and cliffhangers are tossed at us with satisfying regularity.
Look out for how the Sets and locations are artfully deployed, and Sean Callery's score is a powerful, brooding presence
WARNING - HIGHLY ADDICTIVE
Innovative and highly addictive, this series has you firmly on the edge of your seat within a few episodes, and doesn't let you relax until it's over. Sutherland is superb, and is backed up by a wealth of talent. Definitely would recommend buying the DVD's. I really enjoyed watching the episodes back-to-back, it seemed that they were meant to be viewed that way. At it's current price of £17.99, you shouldn't even think about it. Just buy it.
I know this show has been on for years but I didn't want to start watching through the middle of a season so I bought this box set the other day. Oh my.... me and my mum cannot stop watching it! Once we finish one episode we have to watch the next. This is the most well acted, well written most entertaining show ever made. So many twists and turns to keep you guessing, it keeps on you on the edge of your seat the whole time!
If you do not enjoy this show then I have no idea what you will enjoy!
24 in my opinion is by far the greatest show ever to appear on TV. This season is my favourite and you become hooked on it!
The writing and casting is fantastic, Keifer Sutherland plays the role of Jack Bauer so well and Im so pleased that the show has continued to be so good.
