My Sister's Keeper

I have to say I fell in love with the book and was disappointed with the film. As a general rule details get left out, but the director left an awful lot of background out which gave the viewer a completely different take on the film. I'm sad to be negative but it wasn't what I hoped. Saying that if you haven't read the book your love the film.

I loved the booked and was wary of seeing a film based on it. I was so disappointed I wanted to throw the DVD at the wall! The heart of the film was lost and the ending had been completely changed so as to ruin the entire film.

Firstly as a bloke can i just say i watched this as my wife had read the book and loved it and she bullied me into it.
But as i had never read the book and as a father of 2 girls i kinda related to what the parents are going through and actually thought it was quite a good and intresting film.
On the other hand my wife loved the book but didnt really like this film very much she thought it was ok but to many things were diffrent including the film makers changing the entire ending???
I would say for blokes there are a lot worse films you could be forced to watch than this and for any girls who like the weepie girly films that have not read the book you will probably enjoy this but if you have read the book and like it you might be best off not watching the film version.
Good performance from Cameron Diaz i thought she was very good as the mum who just wont quit on her little girl

Ive not read the book. But i LOVE the film, its so sad and emotional, i reallt connected to the film and it made me cry so much and at the same time smile with love.

I really love this film, although I have to admit that after reading the book, the ending to the film really shocked me as I was not expecting it, so I cried more, even though it's the ending you expect to happen in the book. The film as all films that follow books, is missing quite alot details, which make the story line more gripping, so I was a bit disappointed about that. However, Abigail Breslin is such a talented actress for her age, I've seen a few films she's in and this is by far her best. Cameron Diaz played the part well, although its a different role I'm used to seeing her act. All in all a very good film, especially for a girls night in.
