Welcome to Adventureland, where the worst job imaginable is about to inadvertently turn into the summer that changes everything. Fresh on the heels of directing the runaway hit Superbad, writer-director Greg Mottola returns with a hilariously human, semi-autobiographical comedy about an uptight, overeducated young man whose lowly new Career leads to the wildest ride of his life - a journey through puking kids, angst-filled co-workers and a dizzying-making romantic triangle - all the way to facing his own future with guts and optimism.

The trailer for 'Adventureland' is somewhat misleading - you would think the movie is pretty much joke, joke, joke the entire way through like 'Juno' or 'Superbad' but it isn't. That's not to say that there aren't a lot of funny moments in the film because there are but at the heart of it, this is more of a drama than anything else.
The casting is great and the two leads have a nice on-screen chemistry. Kristen Stewart is particularly fantastic in this film - it's her character that is the heart of the movie.
All in all, a really great film despite the misleading trailer.
Well worth watching.
This is a fun and enjoyable coming of age film it is not really an all out comedy or an all out drama film it just blends between the 2 very well.
Jesse Eisenberg plays James whos plans to tour Europe for the summer before heading off to college are ruined by his parents after his dad loses his job.
James is forced to take a summer job at Adventureland for the summer to save up for college but gets more than he bargained for when he meets and falls in love with Em Kristen Stewart .
The story is fun and has some great laugh out loud moments but running through the core of the film is a more serious undertone about the pains of love and growing up.
With a decent supporting cast including the great Ryan Reynolds and a great 80s soundtrack this film is good fun and for the excellent price of just 2.99 you cannot really go wrong.
Dont be put off by the people sayin "it aint superbad", it aint meant to be. I almost didn't watch this because of other peoples reviews.
In my opinion its one of the most heart warmin' films made (with humour).
Watch it.
Its brilliant !!!!!!
This is by no means a great movie, but it is enjoyable for the 2 hours ur watching.
Its set in the 80s, which is always nice and involves working at a Fun Fair.
It reminded me of my time working at a Cinema in the late 90s, I think thats why I have a soft spot for it.
The story, is boy meets girl, with complications.
The Acting is good, Ryan Reynolds is very good, as is the Fairground manager, Kirsten Stewart and the lead guy are good.
The 80s feel is spot on, soundtrack is also worth a mention.
As a twilight lover, I hated K-Stewart until I saw this film but now I see her in a different light. Her character is at the centre of the movie and there's a character that everyone can relate to.
Everyone understands having a job that you hate but that you need and this film perfectly shows a clever guy doing a dead end job that fills his summer in more ways than he'd imagined. Jesse Eisenberg is great as the lead and cute Ryan Reynolds is worth a look.
A great film all in all, however the trailer is misleading, this film is not laugh after laugh as it seems to be, but it does have funny moments and is more heartfelt and warm than the trailer suggests.
