This movie is so insane it's unbelievable. If your a big horror fan than this is a must watch film unlike anything you have ever seen. I own the American uncut version which has been out a couple of years now. The level of violence is pretty insane in this film, being a French horror you expect nothing less. There is so much bloodshed and gore and the story is pretty twisted and messed up. The ending to this film is pretty gross and shocking. The American rental version of this film had over 10mins of footage removed so I would not be suprised if the U.K one has a large chunk cut too. If you're big on horror and foreign films then this is unique and scary for all the wrong reasons. If you're a pregnant woman you may find it quite sick though!!

 difficult to sum this up

 Brutal but good storyline

Watched this last night and thought it was about one of the roughest films I'd ever seen in terms of gore and the realism of the FX - and I include Martyrs and Switchblade Romance in that assessment.

Loved the storyline although it gets pretty obvious about half way through who this woman is and what interest she has in Sarah.

The mood of the film is very dark, brooding and intense and at the end I thought of it more as a "horrific thriller" rather than an out and out horror flick.

Fair play to the ladies for taking the parts on - not exactly a career enhancing move if you're looking to take up glamour work!! Very gritty and real - the making of documentary is really interesting too and 50 odd minutes long - the work of the makeup and special effects teams is superb.

All in all a great story, well shot with terrific acting, thought provoking but with a level of realistic gore and flinchy moments that are unsurpassed in anything I've seen so far. Highly recommended if a little sick in parts - especially the end.

Definitely, an excellent horror. The gory scenes, especially the final ones stayed with me for a while.
Not scareg, but i haven't seen a horror like this for a long time.
With switchblade romance, frontiers, martyrs, and now inside, the french are making great horror films.
By the way, inside the ukr2 dvd is uncut.

 disturbing...and fantastic

from the opening nausea-inducing credit sequence I was glued to the screen. bloody and relentless throughout, ending with a grusome finale that will certainly shock casual watchers.

The acting is great, and effects mostly superb. Fans of gory horror should be satisfied.
