Spine-chilling tale about a woman who is raped and attacked by an unknown spirit...

Dazzling special effects, powerful acting, a taut, tightly written script and imaginative direction all combine to make 'The Entity' a powerhouse supernatural film that will rivet you to your seat. Based on a true event which took place in California, October 1976.

This movie terrorised me as a kid. Havent seen it in years. Its still creepy as hell. The soundtrack alone will give you the shivers. Its still a great movie. Definitley what i would call a classic.

 Amazing, for an 80's horror.

Remember seeing this years ago and its always stuck with me as one of the films that scared me the most. Plays more with you imagination with the music and suspense, than in your face blood and guts. To be honest thats why it works. If you like bein scared, but not into heads flying across the screen, this is superb.
If you can, turn the lights down, the volume up, and enjoy what is a very good horror movie.

 very hard to watch

very disturbing and very hard to watch, all i can say is dont watch it if you are easily affected by very nasty, graphic(not gory)scenes.....this is based on a true story of a family who move in to a new home only for the mum to be terrorised and attacked by 3 unseen ghosts.........amazing film but i found it very hard to watch....

 This stuck in my head..

I saw a little of this on SKY and turned it off a little while after cause It scared me. The guitar music was really wierd and heavy and its that beat that stuck in my head..I watched the film again later and I really enjoyed it (if you can say that) as the content is a little sick and disturbing at times. I remember older people talking about this when I was younger and wanting to see it then ,just out of curiousity. People get scared at different things but this case IS recorded and on file somewhere so if you like ghost movies please watch..its worth it..everytime I heard the guitar and heavy beat id panic at what was going to happen..really freaky.
