From a producer of the outrageous 'Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me', 'Bubble Boy' is the hilarious, laugh-out-loud comedy about a sheltered young man (Jake Gyllenhaal) who breaks all the rules on a wild adventure to get the girl of his dreams! Though he's lived his entire life within the confines of a protective plastic bubble and under the ever-watchful eye of his overprotective mother (Swoosie Kurtz), Jimmy Livingston (Gyllenhaal) never thought that he'd missed out on anything - until the girl next door (Marley Shelton) ran off to get married in Niagara Falls! With the wedding only days away, Jimmy has no choice but to build a mobile "bubble suit" and set off across the country to stop the wedding and confess his love to her!

I agree with the reviewer below that this film is utterly bonkers. There are some pretty funny moments in it, but it is so bizarre that its one of those films treading that fine line between funny and just plain stupid. Some people would undoubtedly hate this film, but for me, Jake Gyllenhaal's performance as Jimmy is priceless. He is hilarious. His excitement is infectious and i found myself smiling all the way through. Without Jake i think it would have been pretty awful, but he carries this film completely and makes it sweet and lighthearted fun.

One of...if not the most strangest films i have ever seen in my life, it's completely bonkers. This film will have you laughing from start to finish, with great characters and a funny and bizzare story line.
A must see film!!!
