i'd say this film is a cross between the Harry Potter films and the Lord Of The Rings films. magic/adventure/quest.
If you like magic (Harry Potter) adventure/quest (lord of the rings)
sorcery,2 headed dragons, trolls then you will love this film.

I watched Willow so frequently as a child, I couldn't get enough of it. It is one of those films that translates through all ages and I love it just as much now.

Based in a fantasy land of sorcery, warriors and monsters, this mythical story really does have it all. What's important to note is that it doesn't fall into the trap of relying on the fact it is a fairy tale to allow it to skim over having any depth. In fact, it does the opposite.

It tells the story of a dwarf called Willow, whose children find a baby by the river. As the child is not of 'their kind' he is ordered to go on a venture to deliver the child back to the land it came from. Little to Willow's knowledge, the baby is a princess who is being hunted down by an evil Queen. Willow unintentionally finds himself involved in a battle between good and evil, but goes on to make it his duty to do all he can to make sure the child doesn't fall into the wrong hands. The storyline is gripping and the characters are enchanting. It's got comedy, action and romance - a real feel good film.

Forget LOTR(I adore these movie's) and Harry Potter(Worse movie's ever), and make way for the original fantasy adventure movie of all time. From the imagination of George Lucas and under the direction of Ron Howard come's a tale of epic proportion's.
