  A good superhero film!

Spider-Man is good, nothing better. You got your love interest, great action sequences and a decent overall performance from the cast. Tobey Maguire is a decent Spider-Man but Willem Dafoe is the star of the film witha great supporting role from J.K Simmons! The story is well presented and the effects are good (although at times you know they are done via computer!). Worth checking out for Superhero fans!

  Great comic-book adaptation

This is a highley enjoyable film and in my opinion the first truely amazing superhero movie. The acting is great and the story brilliant. And while it mite not be up to the standads of more recent comic-book films its still wonderful.

ONE OF THE BEST MARVEL ADAPTATIONS

This is my favourite of all the Spiderman films as there is so much action sequences and an awesome plot plus Willem Dafoes green goblin which was awesome. Its one of Marvels highest points and needs to reach it constantly, but this is a movie that comic book fans dont want to miss. Enjoy

After watching Howard The Duck and Captain America (live action) when Spider-Man came out i thought...Here we go again.

Slap me silly for saying that, Sam Raimi has really really out done himself on this one.

The whole movie i think is just great, The Pace, The Action, The Story.

Superb.

If only Marvel could get Directors like Mr Raimi on more Marvel Movies everyone of them could be ALOT more enjoyable to watch

Spider-Man (2002) - ****
A rather brilliant superhero flick, owing it's success to the great direction from Evil Dead veteran, Sam Raimi and the surprisingly great acting abilities of it's young stars, Tobey Maguire in particular. A classic story of learning to deal with responsibility (the word 'responsibility' has never been stressed so much in any film) in a modern setting with mouth-dropping special effects. Another ace up the film's sleeve is Willem Dafoe, who plays both the tortured Dr. Osborn and the maniacal Green Goblin with magnificent aplomb.

  The World's Greatest Super-Hero!

It's a real challenge to bring a super-hero to the silver screen. Unless you have the right chemicals, you may as well throw it in the garbage!
But don't worry, everything works here. With sam raimi (a die hard spider-man fan) directing and tobey maguire playing the lead, there's nothing to hate hear. The story works so well because they don't waste time getting anything done. Super-hero films often waste too much time showing origins and the villains creation (fantastic 4).
A must have!

fantastic film version of the classic comic book tobey maguire is spot on as peter parker/spiderman and william defoe is very sinister as green goblin only his costume was not my cuppa tetley's but apart from that spot and on comes to mind.

  Terrific Superhero Epic

The best superhero after Batman, jaw dropping special effects, some of the best superhero action, great villein played by Willem Dafoe, a must buy for superhero movies.

This is properly the 2nd best out of the 3

It a good film and a quite good start to the trilagy. It sets the story well and everything but still could be better

Off to a terrific start.
Couldn't have done it much better,
but they still could have done it better.
It's just like another superhero movie, it can get boring, but most of the time very entertained.
The fight scenes are the best, they work so well, but everything else, should have been, and could have been so much better.
