Grease (1978)

One of the best musicals ever been watching this film since i was a little girl and know all the words to the songs now getting my 4 year old daughter into watching it,and isn't John Travolta sexy in this film.

This is a complete steal at 2.99. One of the best films ever made, and the moment when every girl falls in love with John Travolta. Not a single bad song, and a must-watch for anyone.

I saw this when I was 11 with my mates. first time I ever went to the cinema without my parents.
My kids discovered it a couple of years ago and we all have the same opinion....excellent. Some kind of film to unite both parents and kids and who could forget ONJ at the end....

I have seen this umpteen times over the years and do my best to hate it everytime, but I can't. Although he's at least ten years past high school age you can't help but smile when Travolta's big pan face fills the screen. He oozes charm and presence as Danny and you can see why he was then the hottest thing on the planet. Olivia is sweet as Sandy, but it's Stockard Channing as bad girl Rizzo that gets the two best songs, (Look at me I'm Sandra Dee and There are worst things I could do.) Catchy songs, energetic dancing from all the cast makes this a real guilty pleasure.

this film is a must have! can watch over and over again and not get bored!

snake hips John Travolta,loads of sing a long classic tunes,Stockard Channing hamming it up for all it's worth,hot chicks,cool dudes,cars and best of all O.N.J in that black ,skin tight,spray on outfit.

Sugary sweet candy frosted pure indulgance

When I was younger I had this film repeatedly forced upon me by a series of girlfriends. Now I am older it is still forced upon me by my girlfriend. I don't like musicals but... this film is a bit different.

I am not sure I am confident enough to actually say I like this film but I will tell you the good points from a male point of view.

1. Owning this film will demonstrate to the ladies that you 'have taste'
2. Knowing the words to at least some of the songs will assist in many situations eg. weddings, 30th, 40th, 50th birthdays and of course 80's night at the local disco.
3. If your beau does not currently own this film buy it for her as a present, she will love you for at least a little while.

The film is a bit more adult than most of the musicals out there dealing with some of the darker aspects of being a teen, albeit in a light hearted fashion. There are a few funny moments and just knowing who Kenickie is (or however you spell his name) will earn you brownie points at least once in your life.

This film did help to define the genre and of course, Olivia Newton-John + skin tight lycra!
Overall 4 stars; it is iconic, up-beat, has funny bits and appeals to all ages.

Fun, exciting, funny, with high energy! Just makes you wish that you could be a part of it too! I will never never ever get tired of this film!
One of the best films i've ever seen, 100 times better than High School Musical and Mama Mia in my opinion.

This film is a classic, simple as. My parents recommended me to watch it and I enjoyed it loads. Watch it if you haven't because it's so much better than the rubbish they call musicals today *cough* High School Musical *cough*.
