Sometimes dead is better...

For most families, moving is a new beginning. But for the Creeds, it could be the beginning of the end. Because they've just moved in next door to a place that children built with broken dreams, the Pet Sematary. It's a tiny patch of land that hides a mysterious Indian burial ground with the powers of resurrection. Master Of The Macabre, Stephen King, will take you and the Creeds to hell and back. (But the Creeds don't have return tickets.) Your tour guide is kindly old Jud Crandall (Fred Gwynn), the neighborhood nice guy who knows the secrets of life, but has seen enough to firmly believe that "sometimes dead is better."

what a film!deliberatly made to depress and shock, this film has no happy moments in it,its very very dark and the desperation of the dad makes you feel so sorry for him and the family after the little boy gets killed.but when he brings him back from the dead, its terrifying!!!!!!!watch and see for yourself!!!!

 Brilliant Adaptation!

After I watched this film, which scared the hell out of me and was the main cause of several bad dreams for a few nights afterwards, I read the book by Stephen King, and it was a very true adaptation, most likely because King adapted the screenplay. The actors were characterised perfectly, especially Fred Gwynne who plays Jud! The accent is superb! A great watch for all horror fans! Watch out for Zelda, she's freakin' scary!!

 Stephen King at his finest

I brought this for 2 reasons. 1) I am a big fan of Stephen King, 2) the family are called the creeds which is the surname of my family too.
A film that delivered what Stephen King does best. Very dark and moody film but you wouldnt wanna watch this on your own.

My mother saw this years ago and told me to watch it. This really is such a creepy movie. However it is full of horror cliches. It has an indian buriel ground. It has an old local man warning the family against certain things. The creed family move to a house on a very busy road. Their neighbour warns them about the road and the deaths of all the local pets on the road. they have no fence in front of the house and as things happen their cat dies. The old man played excellently by fred gwynne shows him a part of the local pet cemetary where some supernatural things happen. What follows is a very creepy story. Watch the epic, creepy and very un hollywood like ending. A stephen king classic

 excellent
