Most people view this film with a feeling of nostalgia, myself included. However, Tron is more than just a piece of the 80's. Some of the most creative and unique action scenes ever put on film are featured here. David Warner and company create memorable and believable characters. Tron employs some of the best cinematography ever done;. The crew put in an untold of amount of hours to manually insert the brilliant colors seen throughout the film. Wendy Carlos and Journey both contribute to a superb soundtrack. Tron is a surreal experience that remains a true sci-fi classic.

 GROUNDBREAKING SC-FI FILM

I remember seeing this film back in the mid 80's when it first came out on video and as a kid I loved this film.
I recently tracked a copy down on here the other day and decided to buy it and even now as a 31 year old I still really enjoyed this sc-if classic.
This film was a ground breaker special effects wise back in 1982 and even now 28 years later the effects do not look that outdated.
The story is great fun and when you add the great special effects to the mix you have a winning formula on your hands.
I am really looking forward to the release of Tron Legacy later this year now as you just know this film will take the special effects to a whole new level.

 A huge classic

I have to say that this film has a special place in my heart and gives me a strong feeling of nostalgia. Its really amazing how much manual work went into creating the visual aspect of tron with the limited computer power and technology at the time. The story and the action scenes are way ahead of its time and i could watch the film over and over. A masterpiece of a film

Awesome film which still looks brilliant even today with its original ideas and distinctive retro, video game Sci-Fi look! The story is very cool and the visual effects are brilliant, especially the laser bike chases. This will always remain a classic and a must see if you dont have it already! Disney gem.

pixar would be nothing without this.

Ok yes the cgi in this movie is extremely primitive and lacks detail but come on, this is a first of its kind. Although the dvd is a 20th anniversary the actual age of the movie is 26 years. The neon suits are actually really good looking and the story line obviously inspired the matrix. A good dvd for scifi fans, but not for the high definition era.
