A star-studded cast provides the voices for the prehistoric creatures in this computer-animated feature set 20,000 years ago as the Ice Age approaches. Seemingly anti-social Manny, a woolly mammoth (voiced by Ray Romano), acts as if he just wants to be left alone. When he meets Sid (voiced by John Leguizamo), a sloth, the two become unlikely traveling companions. The plot thickens when the duo finds a human infant and decides to try to return the child to its "herd". Manny slowly but surely reveals his heart of gold, while Sid continues to provide comic relief. Diego (voiced by Denis Leary), a saber-tooth tiger with ulterior motives, soon joins them in their search for the humans. Ultimately,

Easy to watch animation with plenty of laughs, but also a few emotional scenes. Relatively short film by modern standards, but it is all the better for that. The animation is out of the top drawer, and the characterisations are excellent, especially the 3 main characters. All in all a film to enjoy on a wet Sunday afternoon!
It's a pity this film wasn't as promoted as the Pixar animation films.
This is an excellent film, for animation, storyline, voices and humor.
There are quite a number of adult jokes and comments which also makes the film funnier, lots of emotional plot twists also. Recommend by me
i just absolutely adore this film,i laugh my head off every time and my girlfriend always ends up crying at the sad parts, scrat is an absolute legend!!!!at this price you cant go wrong, brill!!!!!
Scrat's brilliant. The rest of the movie not so much. It's still a lot better than the juvenile sequel, but repeat viewing reveals so many plot points and ideas stolen from other animated movies like Shrek and Monsters Inc.
But Scrat is very funny and should get his own movie.
Very good for the first one of ice age. Hope they keep coming good!
