This movie allows a stellar cast (Cate Blanchett, Sam Neill, Hugo Weaving and Dustin Nguyen) to showcase their talents in an intimate and absorbing drama about addiction and possibly redemption, with the cast exploring roles (particularly Hugo Weaving and Sam Neil) far from their regular Hollywood turns. A really rewarding movie for those with a little patience. Beautiful.

This must rate as one of the worse and most boring films of all time.
It is complete waste of Cate Blanchett's abilities and I wonder how she could ever have accepted the role in the first place.

Do not waste your money

It would be hard to imagine this film without Cate Blanchett she gives a really great acting performance. The films story has many different layers from drugs to relationships and keeps you interested from start to finish. The films a bit of a downer because of the subject matter, but if you're in the mood for some good drama it's a good watch. The soundtrack serves the film very well, some really good tracks.
