Antarctica; cold, desolate, nothing but ice and snow for miles and miles. Carrie Stetko is a U.S Marshal, and she's made the ice her home. In its vastness, she has found a place where she can forget her troubled past and feel at peace... until someone commits a murder in her jurisdiction and that peace is shattered. The murder is one of five men scattered across the continent, and he has more reason to hide than just the slaying. Several ice samples were taken from the area around the body, and the depth of the drilling signifies something particular was removed. Enter Lily Sharpe, who wants to know what was so important that another man's life had to be taken for it. But are either of the women prepared for the secrets and betrayals at the core of the situation?

Based on the award-winning graphic novel of the same name and starring Kate Beckinsale, Whiteout is a chilling thriller from legendary producer Joel Silver, that will have you on the edge of your seat and chilled to the bone.

If you love a good thriller which has a great story and a mysterious plot with some edge of your seat suspense then you should love this film, it has all these elements along with a great cast and fantastic locations! One of the best elements of the movie is the whole snow and ice sets and locations they look fantastic! Its a good gritty who done it thriller and if your into those kind of movies then look no further. The film does have a few short extras that are not bad! The best being the fact the movie is based on a graphic novel and comic book. You would never really guess. Worth a watch.

It's a Thriller. It's a Chiller (in parts), And there's Killer. And Kate Beckinsale is gonna root the ice hearted villain if it's the last thing she does (which it nearly is). I enjoyed this film for what it was, an OK story starring a very screen friendly heroine. Cuff me Kate, you've melted my heart and I'll come along quietly. Definitely the ticket for a chilly start to 2010.

 Pretty good

I was pleasantly suprised, not really any huge stars in it but the acting is top notch and the plot isnt any thing new but it doesnt stop it from being a wicked thriller.

 Arctic Thriller

A US marshall (played by Kate Beckinsale) discovers a murdered scientist that unfolds a mystery that leads to murder upon murder within an Antarctica science team. A mystery that must be solved before the rapidly approaching winter storm comes and the base is closed for the winter (6 months). A good action thriller that keeps you guessing right until the end. I thought the ending could have been stronger but overall a nice enjoyable thriller. Quite different than other thrillers out at the moment so makes a nice change.

 A great thriller!
