John Nada (Piper) is a struggling labourer who drifts into town and luckily scores a job at a construction site. Discovering a box of sunglasses, Nada swipes a pair and is shocked to find what he can see through them; billboards demand citizens 'Eat' or 'Sleep', TV shows spout orders at him and some people look rather less than human...

This film is an absolute classic, yes its a B movie but if you like B movies at all then in my opinion this has it all except for gore, and will be up there with your favorites without a doubt. Its creative, edgey, hilarious... one of the best street brawl scenes ever - it just goes on and on, and the script is 'full' of classic lines. I disagree that the film is a great idea but executed badly, I think its very cleverly made, they have kept the plot simple which gives the script and every scene its potency!! and as usual john carpenters music is apt... the only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because its not a masterpiece and there are films that are better in everyway but why should that take away from the pure cinamatic enjoyment!
3 ½ stars really, doesn€t deserve 4 though.

This is a good fun action film but, there is something missing from the usual John Carpenter film, I'm not sure what it is though.
Worth your £4.99 though.
If you do enjoy this film check out 3 other Carpenter films that are 5 star.
Assault on Precinct 13
The Thing
Escape from New York.
Good idea, poorly implemented

The idea of creatures being all around us but us not being to see them is excellent. So surely that would make an excellent film, right? Well no I'm afraid. This film suffers by the hands of boredom as virtually nothing happens the whole time. There are good spells of action but they don't come as often as they should meaning this film is very slow. That is a shame because theoretically this could have been a classic.
