The book was very good This was very routine. It could have been a great film if the director had any flair. He didn't even seem to be that interested in his product.

 Interesting and Creative

Here is a very interesting and creative piece, noso much a romantic drama as a sci-fi peice on time travel. The story concentrates on the leading male who travels through time, travels to places and times without warning, he doesn't know where he's going, when he's going, or when he'll be back. The story also brings us his spouse, the woman who also must suffer constantly waiting for her husband to return.
It sounds like a good recipe for tears, heartache and heartbreak but really its not all that touching. Although you feel sorry for the wife you feel slightly more sad for the time traveller, the man who'll be pulled away randomly to a time and destination unknown.

Overall: It's a good movie, at times it can be little bit confusing which is another reason why it doesn't work as a tear-jerker. You care for the characters but there's not enough to make you want to hug your loved ones.
Still i recommend watching, very entertaining.

I read the book before the film came out and I absolutely loved it. I thought the film was brilliantly well made and it was different from the book but not too much. The acting was all brilliantly executed and I recommend this to anyone who has read the book and enjoyed it, likes strange situations and likes a good love story. It's very heart warming and brings tears to your eyes.

 Spot on!

I purchased this DVD with a degree of hesitancy. I did not think the film would do justice to the book and I would be disappointed. Wrong!! The direction is superb, the acting is perfect, scenes which I expected would be difficult to create on film were expertly dealt with. I have lent this film to a friend, and I can't get it back, argh!!
Highly, recommended when accompanied by a box of tissues, even the humerous parts will make you cry. A film which can be watched by all the family. What I said, spot on.
