If you are one of thoose anime fans who only cares about cute and fluffy series with fan service and popiness you probably shouldn't bother. If you want something a little more mature, interesting and psycologically twisting then this is it. Of course if you've loved Satoshi Kon's other works (Perfect Blue, Millenium Actress etc.) you'll love this too.
I've watched this once but I didnt have subtitles as I didnt have an official copy, and even the words in the environment play a role in this so I haven't got all the psycological thrill of this yet. But having got the official copy I've been told it can take 2 or 3 times watching to get it properly, like some of Kon's other works.
Overall I love rewatching this even without completely getting it and I'm looking forward to getting a proper disc with subtitles. Buy this and you shouldn't regret it, 13 episodes of enthralling entertainment. It's Greatness. *****
