Guru, Dada, Mawali, Abe O, these were the choise nouns to call him (Anil Kapoor). He had never been given a name. A child is given a name by parents, but he was that unwanted child whose very birth saw him being thrown into the dustbin - uncared for in this cruel world - His upbringing in such a surrounding saw him grow into a dangerous piece of dynamite, money being all that was need to ignite him. He does any dirty, rotten or cruel job assigned to him by Jaikal (Amrish Puri). Kameshwari (Rohini Hattangadi) finds an enemy in the form of an innocent girl Jyoti (Juhi Chawla). To teach a lesson to her enemy, she buys over this dangerous dynamite (Anil Kapoor), through whom she succeeds in inflicting an unhealable wound on Jyoti. This wound gives her sleepless nights. She decides that she should asks for a cure from the very person who inflicted the wound. Jyoti, through sheer grit and preseverance, succeeds in priking the conscience of this stone hearted man. In his aimless life she creates a goal for which he can work for. She gives him a sweet name, Deepak. Jyoti and Deepak come together to start afresh this journey of life. This sudden change in Deepak is not to the liking of Jaikal - who stands against Deepak. It is said that in the war of good and evil, it is good that wins. But some times this win seeks such a great sacrifice that the humanity is shocked.
