A young boy confined to bed with the flu is less than thrilled when his grandfather (Peter Falk) arrives to read him the story of The Princess Bride. It tells the adventures of Buttercup, the most beautiful woman in the world, and Westley, the man she loves in the fairy-tale kingdom of Florin. When Buttercup is kidnapped, Westley has to overcome some pretty tough obstacles if he is to rescue her from the clutches of three kidnappers - scaling the cliffs of insanity, battling rodents of unusual size, facing tortue in the Pit of Despair... A very good movie with an old tale of a princess and her beloved. You will not find any princess at the start but keep watching the whole. You will not left screen without finishing up the film.
My favourite film of all time.

A fantastic film to watch if you need cheering up. I can't think of any way to improve the film, everything is exactly as it should be. Just brilliant. Kids see a great little adventure while the adults can appreciate the sense of humour and subtlety of the story. Seriously, if you only buy one film this year, make sure it's this one!
