I know nothing about the seventies.

HOWEVER, this is very very good, excellent infact. It continues from the first series, which is only four stars in my opinion, and expands on the characters.

Good compelling viewing with characters you can relate to, stories that are believable (in a 70's sort of way) and generally a really really good series with an excellently written finally.
This coupled with the first series is something you must watch.

Didn't think i would be interested in this when it was on tele, and hence didn't watch it. Afterwards cought one of the replays and instantly wanted to know how it ended.
Something for all the family (if over 15!)

This is one of the best TV Boxsets ever. It's about Sam Tyler a detective in the 21st century who had a car accident and woke up in 1973. He finds himself working with DCI Gene Hunt who likes to use his fist to get results. Gene is very funny and comes out with some great one liner. It's a must have Boxset staring John Simm, Phillip Glenister, Liz White, Dean Andrews and Marshall Lanchster. It has a great story line to it in every episode. I don't really like cop shows but this one is so good that I've watch it back to back 4 times.

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars A kicking 70's Cop show!

This is definitly one of the best shows i have watched in a long time, it seems to include everything you could wish for in a show. The storyline for this show is a piece of genius, however someone thought of this a do not know, it is original and at the same time great. Its not just the storyline which is great, the charectors created are marvelous as well, making the show brilliant. This the second and final series of the show which continous on from the fantastic first series which was just as good as the second. The series still follows Sam trying to get home, while still trying to understand why he is here in the first place. A must watch show for all.

Totally love this show! , I originally never saw this when it was first on , I later bought series 1 just as series 2 started and I must say it was a wise move. Gene Hunt is the best English cop since Jack Regan. Its good to see a show that is not afraid to be so un-pc. Everything is here , action , drama , comedy and totty in the shape of Liz White`s Annie Cartwright character.

Easily the best programme I have witnessed in my 22yrs, original concept, brilliant script and great acting. Watched from first episode and fell in love straight away, something I have never done before.

The one thing that put me off buying the boxsets when they were released originally was the price, at the moment they are a steal.

Excellent, a must buy. Would give 6 stars if I could.

Top 100 DVD Reviewer

The conclusion of this brilliantly written and well acted series that just got better with series 2. The character of Gene Hunt will go down in the annals of TV as one of the best created for the small screen.

It always kept you watching and the whole cast developed as the series went on. Faultless and time period accurate this is entertainment overload. Do not miss this.
